ROBERT SCHUMANN was a German composer, pianist, and music critic who composed orchestral, chamber, piano, and vocal music. He was married to the world famous virtuoso pianist Clara Wieck Schumann and arranged for the initial publication and promotion of a young Johannes Brahms.
